THE SUN IS A YELLOW GIRAFFE
Animated television series 10 x 5 minutes with stories inspired by poems.
Genre: Children´s animation • Age-group: 4 – 8 years • Animation technique: cut-out.
Concept: Stories inspired by poems. The stories about children are set in different cultures and social environments. The Sun is a Yellow Giraffe is named after the Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky's poem "Clouds up to Tricks".

The series was awarded the UNICEF Award and Silver Pulcinella for the Best European Series at the "Cartoons on the Bay" festival in Italy. A quotation of the report by the International Jury:
"The gentle simplicity and the nature of taking stories from around the world made this series an ideal candidate for these awards. The characters are attractive but simple and would appeal to children of all nations. It is multicultural, full of poetry, has delightful music and is of a standard not generally seen for younger children."
