The concept of the series

RED CAPS - general description

A magic crystal helps Santa Claus multiply a billion fold his efforts to distribute presents to children and thus bring happiness to families all over the world. But Santa’s wicked twin brother Basil has a diabolical plan. He will steal the crystal and gain control over children’s minds and create a regimented and evil world.

But thanks to the courage of a human boy, Yotan, the crystal is saved by Santa’s RED CAPS – his crew of elfin helpers, who help children all over the world and try to solve their problems, empowering them to grow up in a better environ­ment.

Each RED CAP has a special gift bestowed by a star that Santa has given them. The RED CAPS succeed, after many adventures and challenges, in rescuing the 26 fragments of the crystal and bringing them back to Santa’s headquarters in Lapland’s Korvatunturi, before the Christmas star rises in the sky.

In these non-violent and educational adventures, the RED CAPS stand for chil­dren’s rights and the environment. RED CAPS is supported by UNICEF.

RED CAPS are fun!

RED CAPS combines everything that’s fun: exotic locations, action and humour. Just hop in Poro’s flying car and let him take you on an action-packed adventure with your new friends. Using their brains, gadgets and magic powers, the crew is ready to help children all over the world. And communicating with kids from all over the world is no problem. The RED CAPS simply use their “translation candy”, which automatically translates speech into any language. So it’s really fun meeting the RED CAPS crew. And who wouldn’t like to meet them? Let’s not forget that they also are Santa’s good pals...

RED CAPS is a series featuring action without violence. The RED CAPS know that the best way to solve problems and to win over evil is to find smart solutions. They solve every problem together using each Red CAPS’ unique talent. The adventures are all very educational, taking a stand for the environment and children’s rights. But there is no lecturing – every aspect is a natural element within each exciting adven­ture.
So, how do you recognize a RED CAP? Well, apart from the cap (which is naturally red) and their blue clothes, they all carry a star on their chest. After touching their star each RED CAP reveals their unique magic power. A star-medal is also given to kids who have helped the RED CAPS on their mission. The star is the universal symbol for the RED CAPS and will be seen on all the RED CAPS’ gadgets and belongings.
All of this creates the unique RED CAPS formula which is present in every episode. In addition, the feature film “The Magic Crystal” will have all these fun elements in amazing 3D animation and on the big screen!

So let’s go. The RED CAPS have a mission. Let the adventure begin, and MAKE IT SNAPPY!
