The stories, which always have a happy ending are plotted around the learning curves in a young childs life, the familiar but important lessons of everyday living. All the stories have a social sub-plot linked to life experiences: going to the doctors, negotiating traffic, polite behaviour - all the skills that make life easier to live and to understand.
In every story NOKSU whos in the complicated business of growing up learns something new; he learns how to cope with the dangers of crossing the road, avoiding junk food which gives him tummy ache, treating friends with respect. All are social skills and life experiences which he has to master in order to grow up.
The series is based on the books and the characters created by Mikko Kunnas. Books in Finnish published by WSOY
